NYC City Council Watching Columbia

The New York Sun reports that the "City Council plans to call for an outside investigation into allegations that professors intimidate Jewish students at Columbia University if the school's internal investigation fails to produce evidence of misconduct." Considering that the committee "found nothing" when the evidence was right in front of their faces, this is a good step.

I have to admit, though, that I am wondering why the Sun is the only paper covering this--doesn't the New York Times think that allegations of abuse of professorial bias, and a possible City Council investigation are more important news than, say, how college students crave cereal for breakfast? Seriously--I love the fact that the Sun has taken such interest in this story, and I do not think that any news sources is illegitimate if it does a good job reporting--and Jacob Gershman is an incredible reporter--but where the hell are the others?
